UPDATE to the 1st review:
After almost 1.5 years, the spade is now broken (aluminum handle bent at the transition to the steel part of the handle). I have, however, abused it extremely at times, including spontaneously chopping wood while camping. Any normal folding spade would fall to its knees. I know people who have had this model for over 10 years and it still works like the first day! The spade is a real quality product! (But only if you only use it for digging! ;) )

A great spade at a great price! The only weak point is the screw thread, which corrodes very easily and quickly jams on contact with sand.
