What does FMF – Fast Multi Frequency – mean?
XP's FMF technology transmits several frequencies at the same time – not one after another, as some classic multi-frequency detectors do. This ensures lightning-fast signal detection, superior iron discrimination and high stability on mineralised ground and on saltwater beaches. All four coils share this basic technology, but differ considerably in frequency range, size and main area of use. The standard FMF coils work from 4 to 45 kHz, while the new HF2 coil extends this range to up to 120 kHz – a decisive advantage when searching for very small and poorly conducting targets.

Which coil suits me?
FMF 22 cm – for precision hunters
Ideal for densely overgrown search areas, parks, gardens and iron-laden ground. At 345 g it is the lightest of the four coils. Perfect for detectorists who need a lot of separation and fast response. Also the first choice for re-searching areas that have already been hunted.
FMF 28 cm – the all-rounder
The most frequently chosen coil in the Deus II system – and for good reason. It delivers a well-balanced combination of detection depth, separation and area coverage. For anyone who wants to be well equipped in almost any search area with a single coil.
FMF 34×28 cm – the depth specialist
For large fields and meadows and whenever maximum detection depth is required. At 570 g it is the heaviest of the four coils, but makes up for it with the largest search area and the best reach into depth. Ideal for large coins, brooches and relics.
HF2 24×13 cm – for small-item professionals
The newest and technically most advanced coil, with up to 120 kHz in mono mode. Perfect for gold nuggets, fine jewellery, trashy sites and heavily iron-laden ground. The replaceable battery is a plus for long days of detecting.
