APPLICATION
The UWEX® 722 C is a highly sensitive metal detector for land and diving applications. Depending on the search task, it can be used in the short or long version. The UW detector is pressure-tight to a water depth of approx. 60 metres. The UWEX® 722 C detects all metals, including small parts made of coloured and precious metals. The pressurised water-tight headphones provide a clear display signal with a large frequency range. This enables precise localisation close to the object.
CONSTRUCTION
The detector consists of a search coil with an articulated joint and the flange-mounted electronic cylinder, which also serves as a handle. The extension tube can be screwed onto the handle for detection on land or underwater, e.g. in tall seaweed. The device is switched on by turning the support tube halfway. The earpiece and headband of the waterproof headphones are removable and the headphones can be slipped under the bonnet or into the corresponding compartment of the dry suit. The response or sound threshold is adjusted using the sliding piece of the joint connection.
MODE OF OPERATION
The UWEX® 722 C works according to the pulse induction method (PI). The method suppresses conductivity effects, e.g. caused by salt water and electrically conductive soil. It also allows object selection. Unwanted small parts such as nails, scrap and wire remnants can be electronically suppressed by means of an internal adjuster due to their short magnetic response. The local interference level can thus be considerably reduced. The advantages are obvious!
