The Garrett ACE 150 brand metal detector is characterized by its very easy operation, excellent workmanship and ergonomics. The metal detector sits very comfortably in the hand. The fact that the arm switch can optionally be fastened with a Velcro fastener contributes positively to the wearing comfort. This metal detector will not only delight beginners, but also young treasure hunters! Set one of the 3 search programs and start probing!
It works on 6.5 kHz operating frequency. Four sensitivity levels can be set! The metal detector impresses with a very good search depth for its price range. Our conclusion: Good operating performance and features with low weight.
Simply switch it on, set the search program and start probing!
Beginners in particular should use the settings!
Waterproof search coil
The 17 x 23 cm search coil is waterproof. You can search in shallow water. The housing for the electronics is not waterproof and should also be protected from rain.
Search depth up to max. 120 cm
The search depth depends on the depth of the object and the nature of the ground. Large metal objects can be found up to 120 cm.
Detecting metals using sounds
The ACE 150 generates three different tones. Objects containing iron and steel have a deep tone. Moderately conductive metals such as bronze, lead, silver, medium-sized pieces of jewelry and coins can usually be heard via a medium-high tone. Highly conductive metals such as gold, large pieces of jewelry and large coins can be heard via a high ringing tone.

Difference to the Garrett ACE 250
The Garrett ACE 150 metal detector does not search quite as deep as the Garrett ACE 250. The Garrett ACE 250 has 5 search modes and the Garrett ACE 150 has 3 search modes. The Garrett ACE 250 has a programmable search mode for your own search preferences. The Garrett ACE 150 can discriminate by default - without custom settings. Both detectors always perform very well in test series!
The successor to the Garrett ACE 150 is the new ACE 200i. It incorporates the latest "Digital Target ID" technology. The display shows guide numbers that can be assigned to the different metals. This helps with target identification. The guide numbers range from 0-99 and after a short time you will have learned the different digits. The audit tones are sharper and more responsive. The Cam-Lock linkage, as with the AT metal detectors, ensures optimum stability.
You can shorten the metal detector for children with a children's rod (optional extra)!
Special settings at a glance

Further adjustment options are interesting for advanced viewfinders.
SENSITIVITY | You can change the search performance of the detector. You can increase or decrease the power by pressing the sensitivity button. You can set 4 power levels. High sensitivity is recommended for searching for small parts and for greater detection depth. Low sensitivity is recommended for locating in areas interspersed with scrap metal and highly mineralized or salty soils, e.g. on the beach.
DISCRIM | is a filtering system with which unwanted small metal parts - e.g. iron nails or bottle caps - are programmed out and no longer displayed acoustically.
ELIM | The function makes object filtering possible. An unwanted object can be easily filtered out at the touch of a button. Hold the located unwanted object briefly in front of the probe and then press the ELIM button and the object is filtered out with its properties and no longer displayed acoustically.
