The Quest X10 Pro is a high-quality entry-level metal detector for the whole family. This revised version of the X10 is waterproof compared to its predecessor, has a vibration alarm, offers a USB-C connection and supports the newer X coils from Quest. Like its predecessor, it comes with the most important functions such as a pinpoint function, iron discrimination and ground balancing and impresses with its simple operation and low price.
Simple and for the whole familyAs the Quest X10 has the most important functions for searching, but does not overwhelm beginners with the many setting options of higher-priced detectors, it is easy to use and is particularly recommended for beginners. Thanks to its adjustable boom length of 80 to 130 cm and low weight of 950 g, or 850 g if the middle boom section is omitted, it is also ideal for young treasure hunters.
The most important things for the startWith the discrimination option, certain conductance ranges can be ignored by the detector, i.e. iron signals, for example, can be suppressed so that old nails are not constantly dug up. In addition, the automatic ground adjustment ensures that the detector does not emit any noise due to natural mineralization in the ground, so that you can concentrate fully on the beautiful finds. Once a signal has been found, the pinpoint function can be used to quickly locate the exact position of the object so that the first treasures can be brought to the surface without having to dig for a long time.
Reliable and convenientWith its outstanding search performance for this price range, fast response time and high-quality materials, the Quest X10 is the perfect companion that can withstand any weather conditions. The search coil is completely waterproof and the control unit is splash-proof and therefore not susceptible to precipitation. The built-in rechargeable battery provides around 30 hours of battery life as well as the simple option of recharging via the USB cable supplied, so there is no need to regularly buy batteries. A special feature of the X10 is the coil lighting, which is atypical for metal detectors and, together with the backlighting of the display, provides the necessary visibility when searching in the twilight.
Differences between the X10 and X10 ProThe X10 Pro was launched in August 2021. The biggest innovation is certainly that it is waterproof up to 3 meters under water. The X10 Pro also offers a vibration alarm to alert you to objects under water. In addition, the micro USB and 3.5 mm headphone connection have been replaced by a modern USB type C connection. Instead of Blade, Raptor and Beast search coils, the X10 Pro supports the connection of the newer BladeX, RaptorX and BeastX coils. These innovations make the X10 Pro probably the most complete entry-level detector on the market.
Differences between the X5 and X10In addition to all the functions of the X5, the X10 has a backlit display and offers 5 instead of 2 different tones for metal identification. The discrimination options can also be set more precisely with 10 instead of 5 segments, and there is also a threshold function, which enables better detection of the smallest finds by means of a continuous tone when tone interruptions can be heard. The 3 search modes of the X5 have been supplemented by an individually adjustable custom search mode on the X10.
