The Cortes combines analogue control units with the latest generation of digital signal processing. The Cortes user is spared the lengthy reading of operating instructions to discover the secrets of operation as well as complex programming. Despite the many setting options, the Cortes remains aneasy-to-use detector with intuitive operation and excellent metal discrimination. Typical Tesoro.

The clear and functional display provides the searcher with a wealth of information to recognise the located object more precisely. On the top of the display, objects are roughly categorised into four categories, e.g. Iron or Foil (iron or small pieces of silver paper) or Silver Coin (silver coin). This brief information is shown in more detail in the lower area of the display using two further display techniques.
A 9-stage bar display differentiates according to the conductivity of the metal from left to right on the display. It shows the information of the last swing. The Cortes measures the maximum deflection of the signal and converts it as a conductance value, positioned on the right-hand side of the display, into the typical ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metal-specific conductance value in numbers from 0 to 95.
The wide 9-stage segment display has the advantage of spreading out the localisations from minimum (iron) to maximum (e.g. silver or solid bronze objects). This draws attention to the medium display values such as valuable gold rings, nickel jewellery and allows better detection of worthless scrap such as pull tabs from aluminium cans and crown corks etc.
